How To Resolve The Error While Trying To Install Modules In Drupal?

 2 min

At times, you might receive an error message like the one mentioned below while trying to install a module in Drupal. This error can be easily resolved!

Here is the error that you might encounter:

The specified file temporary://filename could not be copied, because the destination directory is not properly configured. This may be caused by a problem with file or directory permissions. More information is available in the system log.

This error might occur because of any incorrect setting of your temporary directory that is set during the installation process.

In order to fix this issue, go to > Configuration > Media > File System and change the Temporary Directory value from /tmp to tmp.

Once you do this, you can easily execute the Drupal module installation process.
