How to manage DNS Zone on Namecheap?

With MilesWeb, managing your domain is straightforward. When your domain name is registered with Namecheap, it’s important to manage its DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.) for directing your website, email, as well as other services. Take a look at our brief instructions.

Managing DNS Records on Namecheap

Step 1: Accessing The Domain Settings 

1. Sign in to your Namecheap Account using this link (add a hyperlink).
2. On the left side of the screen, select “Domain List.” 
3. Click on the button marked “MANAGE” beside your domain.
4. Then the “Advanced DNS” tab will appear; click on it and you are done!

Step 2: Place a New DNS Entry 

1. On the Advanced DNS tab, there should be a section labeled “Host Records.”
2. Click on “ADD NEW RECORD.” 
3. Choose a Record Type like A or MX.
4. Complete the Host Value and TTL fields.
5. Finally, save by clicking the checkmark icon.

Step 3: Change in Existing DNS Record

1. Now Locate the relevant record within “Host Records” that you want to edit.
2. To apply changes, use the pencil icon directly next to the selected record.
3. Press the checkmark icon to confirm your changes.

Step 4: Removing a DNS Record

1. Search for the one you’d like to delete from your list of “Host Records.”
2. Click on the trash can icon next to it.
3. Verify deletion when asked and it will be removed!
