How to Reset Your Domain’s DNS Zone?

 2 min

If your domain is currently pointing to MilesWeb and is fully propagated, you can easily reset the DNS zone using the MilesWeb mPanel.

Resetting the DNS zone restores all DNS records to their default values. This is especially useful for:

  • Stuck propagation issues.
  • Missing or misconfigured records.
  • Ensuring compatibility with your MilesWeb hosting account.

Accessing DNS Zone: Two Methods Based on Domain Registration

For Domains Registered with MilesWeb

  • Navigate to the Domains section in your MilesWeb Members Area.
  • Click Manage next to the desired domain.
  • In the left-side menu, select DNS/Nameservers.
  • Scroll to the bottom and click on Reset DNS Records.
  • Confirm the action by clicking Reset.
  • DNS changes will fully propagate within 24 hours.

For External Domains Pointing to MilesWeb via Nameservers

  • Go to the Domains section and scroll to External Domains.
  • Click Manage next to the domain you’re updating.
  • On the DNS Zone page, locate and click Reset DNS Records.
  • Confirm the action to begin the reset.
