WordPress comprises of various SMTP plugins which can be used to force any FROM address you want. This is important for two major reasons:<\/p>\n

\u2022 You can send email directly through your mail server as opposed to the web server. This prevents issues with Sender Domain Policy and Spoofing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u2022 You can send email FROM<\/strong> another email host. For example, instead of your MilesWeb address, you can use your GMAIL<\/strong> address as the FROM<\/strong> email.<\/p>\n

Check the below popular plugin option with its recommended settings.<\/p>\n

WP Mail SMTP<\/h3>\n

1. Go to the WordPress dashboard and in the left pane, click on ‘Plugins > Add New’<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

2. Find wp-mail-smtp<\/strong>. You can find it here too.<\/p>\n

3. Click on the Install<\/strong> button, then Activate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

4. After installing and activating it, go to the ‘Plugins’<\/strong> page in your WordPress dashboard.<\/p>\n

5. Under the plugin, click on the ‘Settings’<\/strong> link.<\/p>\n

6. Fill in the below fields with proper information:<\/p>\n

\u2022From Email \u2013<\/strong> Mention the email you wish to send FROM<\/strong>.
\n\u2022 Force From Email –<\/strong> Tick this box.
\n\u2022 From Name \u2013<\/strong> Mention a name you want to display as being sent FROM<\/strong>.
\n\u2022Force From Name –<\/strong> Tick this option if you wish to force the FROM<\/strong> name.
\n\u2022Mailer –<\/strong> Select ‘Other SMTP’<\/strong>.
\n\u2022Return Path –<\/strong> Tick this box.<\/p>\n

7. Find the ‘Other SMTP’<\/strong> section below. Ensure that you toggle the ‘Authentication’<\/strong> button.
\n\u2022 SMTP Host –<\/strong> smtp.dreamhost.com
\n\u2022 Encryption \u2013<\/strong> Click on TLS encryption.
\n\u2022 SMTP Port \u2013<\/strong> 587.
\n\u2022 Username –<\/strong> Mention your MilesWeb email address.
\n\u2022 Password –<\/strong> Mention your email address password.<\/p>\n

Click on the Save Settings<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

The emails will now be sent FROM<\/strong> the email you entered above.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> The plugin asks you to add the below lines to your wp-config.php file:<\/p>\n

Testing the Plugin<\/h3>\n
At the top, click on the ‘Email Test’<\/strong> tab. For testing click on the Send Email<\/strong> button. You should confirm that it was sent successfully.<\/p>\n
