It will allow you to restore user files and help you preserve important data.<\/p>\n<h2>To\u00a0Create Admin Backup<\/h2>\n<p>1. Log in to your DirectAdmin&#8217;s reseller account<\/p>\n<p>2. Go to the <strong>Reseller Tools<\/strong> section and click <strong>Manage User Backups<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12764\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milesweb.co.uk\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/da_manage_user_backups.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1222\" height=\"190\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3. Click on the <strong>SCHEDULE BACKUP<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12765\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milesweb.co.uk\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/da_schedule_backup.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1586\" height=\"234\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With this, you will be at <strong>Step 1<\/strong> of scheduling a backup for selected users.<\/p>\n<p>DirectAdmin offers you three choices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>All Users<\/strong>: Take backup for all user accounts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Selected Users<\/strong>: Take backup for selected user accounts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>All Users Except Selected<\/strong>: Exclude selected users and take backup for the rest of user accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4. Make your choice for the backup you want and choose to either <strong>SCHEDULE<\/strong> or move to customize <strong>NEXT STEP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12767\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milesweb.co.uk\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/da_backup_step1-min.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1584\" height=\"405\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you choose <strong>NEXT STEP<\/strong>, you will move onto<strong> Step 2<\/strong>. Here, you can decide <strong>when<\/strong> to schedule the backup.<\/p>\n<p>5. Determine if you want to take the backup\u00a0<strong>Now<\/strong> or <strong>On schedule<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the latter case, you will have to customize the <strong>Cron Settings<\/strong> for the backup schedule.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12771\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milesweb.co.uk\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/da_backup_step2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1587\" height=\"607\" \/><\/p>\n<p>6. Choose to <strong>SCHEDULE<\/strong> or move to <strong>NEXT STEP<\/strong> as per requirement.<\/p>\n<p>If you move to <strong>Step 3<\/strong>, you can select a directory to store your backups.<\/p>\n<p>7. You can store backup to your <strong>Local<\/strong> directory or on a customized\u00a0<strong>FTP\u00a0<\/strong>if you want to create the backup on a different server.<\/p>\n<p>You will have to configure the <strong>FTP Settings\u00a0<\/strong>with the corresponding values.<\/p>\n<p>8. After checking all the customizations and settings, click the <strong>SCHEDULE<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p>A success message will flash on-screen, showing you have scheduled the backup.<\/p>\n<h2>To Restore Admin Backup<\/h2>\n<p>1.\u00a0Go to the <strong>Reseller Tools<\/strong> section and click <strong>Manage User Backups<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12764\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milesweb.co.uk\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/da_manage_user_backups.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1222\" height=\"190\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You will see a list of scheduled backups here.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click on the <strong>RESTORE BACKUP<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12774\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milesweb.co.uk\/hosting-faqs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/da_restore_backup.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1587\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong> to restore your backup is to choose a directory location.<\/p>\n<p>You can decide to store it on your <strong>Local<\/strong> server or a different <strong>FTP<\/strong> server.<\/p>\n<p>3. Click the <strong>NEXT STEP<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p>At\u00a0<strong>Step 2<\/strong>,\u00a0you get to set the IP address to restore the backup. To do that, you have to <strong>Use the IP stored in the backup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>5. Click the <strong>NEXT STEP<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p>In the final <strong>Step 3<\/strong>, you have to choose what backup files to restore from your server.<\/p>\n<p>7. Select the backup file\/files you want to restore from the <strong>Files<\/strong> list.
